Bloom Series | Ceramic Kensan Arrangement | 陶器淺盤配劍山
This class builds on foundational kenzan techniques, introducing a more textural, garden-style composition using a ceramic shallow vessel.
Inspired by van der Bloom’s signature “field in a pot” aesthetic, the arrangement captures the feeling of a natural landscape — organic, layered, and quietly expressive.
With its lower profile and wider surface, the vessel invites a different way of composing. Participants will explore:
-
Layering florals and foliage
-
Creating movement across space
-
Designing with a “growing” garden feel
Led by Summer, our Florist-in-Residence and a certified Sogetsu Ikebana master, this session reflects her unique approach shaped by years of experience bridging Japanese and Western floral styles at van der Bloom.
